Incident Report...

This week we received not one, but two Incident Reports.

The first one was at the end of the day on Thursday...nothing serious. Alexander was playing in class and ran by one of the tables. As he ran by he scraped his back on the corner and got a scratch.

The second one was on Friday. They were cleaning up toys and Alexander had a toy that he was cleaning up and a friend (Sean) wanted the same toy. Alexander wouldn't give it to him, so Sean got frustrated and bit him on the back. There was only a little mark.

With all these incident reports, I could make a book!

Collecting More...

Incident Reports.

This week there were TWO!

When I went to pick up Alexander from school on Tuesday, Alexa informed me that there would be another incident report I had to sign. Thankfully it only involved Alexander & thankfully it wasn't major. He was running around class, fell down and bumped his head on the plastic picnic table they use for lunches/snack. He got a decent size bump on his head.

Then on Wednesday, Alexander was running in class again and ran into the shelf of toys with his ribcage so he had a red mark on his ribs.

Sense a pattern of running & incident reports???

Incident Report...yet again

Alexander came home with yet a time another incident report. This time it was in preschool while they were visiting for the morning. Alexander had a book that another friend wanted so instead of using their words, teeth were used.

Alexander got bit on his arm because he would not share the book. We found out later that afternoon that it was Sean who bit Alexander...but at least it was not Alexander this around.

Incident Report...

This week, Alexander came home with an incident report. However, not only did he come home with one report - he came home with two incident reports - in one day!

The first report was a bad one. Alexander bit a friend over a toy. This is the first time he's ever bitten someone. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a trend. It doesn't help that it seems to be the "hip" thing to do in his class right now so I can't wait for this phase to end.

The second was a minor report. He was running around the room with Connor, playing, and they ran into each other bumping heads. And if I didn't know any better I think he would do some of it on purpose so he can get an ice pack. He loves getting ice packs.

Incident Report...

Yesterday, Alexander came home with another incident report. However, this time it was not his fault. They were playing legos and it was time to clean up...however Alexander had a piece that a friend wanted. So rather than asking for the piece, the friend went over and bit Alexander in the back. No broken skin, just a little black & blue...

Miss Lori gave him some TLC & put an ice pack on and he calmed down.

Incident Report...

Alexander came home today with an incident report. Alexander bit someone in his class (turns out it was Aidan because Alexander told us later that night). It appears that all the kids were in fool moods and none of them were cooperative. Miss Lori said they were all pretty awful & not listening to rules.

But Alexander bit someone and then started screaming at Miss Lori when she asked him to apologize and then sit down. So he had to sit down longer because he was not listening & screaming.

Then later in the day they were reading a book about "Mommies" and Alexander got VERY territorial. He took the book and kept saying "my mommy" and if any of the other kids would say "mommy" he would yell at them and swing out as if to hit.

Overall, not a good day!

Incident Report...

Alexander came home with yet another incident report on Wednesday. However this time it was nothing he did or how he injured himself. Turns out someone hurt him.

They were outside in the playground playing before naptime. Alexander had a toy that another child wanted and the child just reached out and bit Alexander's hand! No bruising, swelling or broken skin - just good ole fashion teeth marks.

They gave Alexander some ice & TLC to make him feel better. That night I could still see the mark so I imagine it was a pretty strong bite. We asked him who bit him and he did say one child's name a few times but he also mentioned another child. Ahh, the world of two year olds!

Yet Again...

Alexander had another incident at school. Hopefully this doesn't become a daily occurrence.

When I picked Alexander up from school, both Ms Sarah & Mrs Debbie were administering TLC to a crying little girl who obviously just got hurt.

I looked at Ms Sarah who immediately nodded her head yes. I knew that the little girl was crying because of Alexander. I asked what happened and she explained that Alexander bit her. They didn't say why or what happened but Alexander knew he was in trouble. He stood off to the side and then tried to grab my hand and pull me away from Ms Sarah.

It was too chaotic in there last night & this morning so when I pick him up tonight, I'll have to get more details as to what happened and why he bit her. Hopefully this does not become a trend. I know 2 years olds do this, I just don't want to be *that* parent where every day it's something new...

Incident Report Part II...

Tuesday, Dan had to sign another incident report. However, this time it wasn't because Alexander scratched/slapped/hit/bit another child. Thankfully. This time, Alexander & some friends were running around the room and ran RIGHT INTO each other. So technically nothing bad happened but this is the school's way of letting us know how kids get bumps/bruises, etc.

Alexander got a bump on the bridge of his nose/forehead area but after some ice & TLC (the medical treatment they provided - it was written on the report), he was back to his old self. Last night, it wasn't too bruised but you could tell he bumped his forehead.

When he woke this morning it was bruised a bit more but doesn't appear to bother him or hurt if you touch it, so that's good. Guess we have a full-fledge little boy on our hands...I'm ready!

Incident Report...

Alexander received another incident report today.

This time it did not involve another child or being a bully. It appears as though he was playing before naptime, and fell face first onto a bucket of toys. When he fell he scratched his cheek, but thankfully it was just a scratch, no blood.

So we'll keep our fingers crossed that this bucket was a one-time situation however I doubt it will be the first since he is a little boy who likes to wrestle and play around. At least it was just a wee-minor scratch.
