Mother's Day Brunch...

I got the best Mother's Day present this year! Alexander & his class held a special Mother's Day breakfast for us. We got a lovely breakfast the kids helped put together. Then we got to find our special picture each child made for their special time with their Mom's and we each got a present - a beautiful string of pearls!

And then the kids got together and sang their Mom's the cutest song - just for us! And yes, my little guy was not only incredibly enthused but he was also the loudest singer

Mother's Day Activities...

For Mother's Day, we went to Auntie's new place where we met up with Mimi & Papi to go out for lunch. We went to a place called Grumpy's and our waitress had a bit of grumpiness to her...after lunch, we got some ice cream (despite the chilly wind), and went back to hang out at Auntie's.
We watched a movie, played with the ipad, and opened gifts. Then we tried to take some pictures and Alexander decided he'd rather be the photographer and not the subject.
After some photos, we headed home (where Alexander took a nap in the car) and then Mommy & Alexander opened the gift Alexander made for me at school - my very own Alexander garden!

Mother's Day...

I love this day - Mother's Day - because it means I get to spend it with the little guy who means the most in the world!

He is the best gift in the entire world and my world is better with him!

Mother's Day 2010...

Today we celebrated Mother's Day...Daddy & Alexander let Mommy sleep in a bit and then when Mommy came downstairs she was greeted with flowers and purple decorations.

A little later on, Mimi, Papi & Auntie came over to hang out & visit. We played for a bit, had some snacks, opened some presents and then went out to eat later on.

Mother's Day...

Mother's Day 2009 - We had a low key Mother's Day where Mimi, Papi & Auntie came over for a mini BBQ. Alexander was in a great mood all day (except right before naptime) and had a blast playing outside with Mimi, drums with Auntie, and watching Elmo with Papi. During dinner, he ate his own cheeseburger that he dipped in ketchup, a hot dog, some chips & even a bit of strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Mother's Day

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and it was fantastic! We went to my parents house for a

low-key BBQ. It was such a nice day, I couldn't have asked for a better first Mother's Day.

Alexander woke up @ 5am, which is his new
thing. Joy. And he was, for the most part, in a

good mood and all smiles. We got ready to go to Grammie & Grampie's house and he slept the entire car ride.

We hung out, ate some food, & relaxed. The day wouldn't be complete without some pictures to mark the occassion.

Of course, Alexander took 2 naps during the day which he never does for me. Figures. Sue, Moira & Joann also came over for a quick visit to see Alexander. All in all, it was a very nice day.
