New Years Eve Festivities...

This years New Years Eve was quiet, mellow & perfect!  Alexander & I were each other dates.  We had chinese food, fancy drinks (sparkling cider or ginger ale with food coloring).  We played some Wii and cuddled after books!  Both of us were asleep before 10:30pm. It really was a perfect way to end the year!

Happy New Years...

This year, for New Years Eve, we celebrated with Kirk, Deanna & their 10 month old daughter, Marina; who, by the way, is adorable!
Even though we weren't at home it was still a low-key night. We hung out a bit, let the kids play around, fed them dinner, then got them ready for bed. After bedtime, we had a yummy dinner and then played our traditional game of dominoes. However by the end of the game we were all getting so tired that midnight was looking bleak. We did manage to stay away long enough to ring in the new year.

We all got ready for bed and headed upstairs pretty quickly as we knew the kids would wake up early. Alexander did not disappoint - he woke at 4:30am, came into the bed with us but pretty much toss & turned until 5:40am where finally he was up for the day.

We had a relaxing morning, where Marina had fun chasing after Alexander. But we did have a nice moment of them sitting together on the chair and Alexander giving her kisses.Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year...

Happy New Year...

We want to wish everyone a happy, safe, & healthy year in 2009! We had a pretty low key evening that we didn't take any photos for the ball drop.

Love,
Alexander, Mel & Dan

Countdown to 2008...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Here are a couple pictures of our New Years Eve. Dan & I had a quiet evening at home (chinese food & Harry Potter DVD). At one point, I was even tempted to go to bed before midnight (I was tired if you couldn't tell from the pictures) but I decided to stay up.

Then Alexander gave me another reason to stay up. The little guy woke up around 11:40pm, WIDE AWAKE. He obviously wanted to be a part of the celebration and not miss anything. He must know when big things are happening because he did the same thing for the last inning of the World Series and watched the Red Sox win with me.

I brought him downstairs when it was clear he wasn't going back down easily. He stayed up for a bit and then we went upstairs around 12:30am and finally fell asleep around 1am.

Hope everyone had a nice New Years Eve and that 2008 brings you health & happiness.
(Good God - I look exhausted!!)
