Safety Night...

Tonight was Safety Night in our town - we've gone every year since Alexander was born and Alexander was excited to check out the fire trucks! They didn't have a lot of different trucks or vehicles this year like last, so he was quite content to sit under the fire truck that had the big ladder up!He did go through a bouncy house a couple times before we headed over to the playground! There were clowns walking around that I asked Alexander if he wanted to go over to see them and he made the quickest get-away! He was a bit freaked out which was nice for me as I didn't have to go see the scary clown either!

Pics from Safety Night...

Pictures from Safety Night

McGruff the Crime Dog was back again this year and Alexander was okay with him from a distance but once he got closer, he did not like him. He seems to take after Mommy of not liking things in costumes.
He really enjoyed pushing the stroller which could be because the doggies were not in his face anymore A family picture in front of the helicopter (Alexander was not all that interested)

He was more interested in his balloon

Safety Night...

Tonight was our town's annual Safety Night put on by the town Police & Fire Depts. We've gone every year since Alexander was born and it's been pretty fun (minus the crazy looking clowns).

This year they had a helicopter that kids could sit in. I thought Alexander would be super excited but he was more relaxed about the whole thing (could be that he did get sick not long before). He walked around, took some pictures, checked out the fire truck & got a balloon. I think that was the highlight for Alexander, besides pushing the stroller himself.

There were a few dogs that were the same height of Alexander while in the stroller and he did NOT like that at all. But overall it was a nice time.

Crime Biting Part II...

We attended our town's National Night Out for Safety again this year. Odd as it sounds, there seems to have been less for Alexander to do this year even though he's older. Plus, I didn't see McGruff the Crime Dog anywhere. Shame, really. This is us from the Night Out last year.
There was a female clown making balloon animals - man, they really are scary!!

Alexander did get to see a real police dog, named Hope, who he really enjoyed. He also got to check out a firetruck up close.

But probably his favorite part was eating a hot dog by himself, bun & all. He wasn't giving that up for no one.
