History of Thanksgiving...

Seeing as how the annual tradition of Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was on Thanksgiving night - Alexander stayed up to watch it.  Charlie Brown and his friends talked about the British coming over on the Mayflower, landing on Plymouth Rock and that first thanksgiving meal.

Because of that, Mimi & Papi thought it would be cool to bring him to the actual place where the Pilgrims landed.  We went on a tour of the Mayflower II ship and we saw Plymouth Rock

Thanksgiving Celebrations...

This year, we went down to New Jersey to celebrate Thanksgiving with Dan's family. We headed down Thursday morning and beat all of the traffic.Thursday, Alexander played with Michael and then we had Thanksgiving dinner. The boys played cars, soccer & tickle-monster with Mommy. On Friday, we headed down to visit Joan (Dan's godmother) for lunch. It was nice to see her as Alexander & I haven't seen her since last Thanksgiving time.
After the visit with Joan Alexander, Michael, Daddy & uncle Matt played soccer outside. The boys then played a game of dominoes with Grandma & Pop-pop. Then we all got ready for dinner & bedtime! Alexander did a great job going to bed both nights - he was pretty tired!
On Saturday, we went to Anthony & Maria's for breakfast. Alexander got to play with Anthony & Michael for a bit. It was a nice visit!

We headed home that afternoon to get home before bedtime. It took us 3 hrs to drive down & 4 1/2 hours to get home...silly traffic.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving...

Alexander & I started what I hope to be an annual tradition this year - watching a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (to be followed up with a Charlie Brown Christmas in a few weeks).Because he was a good boy that day, I told him he could stay up later than usual to watch Charlie Brown. And I pleasantly discovered that he enjoyed the show immensely. He thought Snoopy & Woodstock were hysterical!

Days later, he's still talking about how funny Snoopy & Woodstock are with the 'bumping into each other' when they were making their own thanksgiving dinner.

Snoopy is funny...

The small giggle in the beginning of this video is well worth it...

Thanksgiving...

This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house. Gary, Sharon & the kids came over too. We had our typical feast - which was all so yummy. Alexander didn't have turkey but he did eat some ham, carrots & a wee bit of corn.

After dinner we went thru the sales flyers for Black Friday, rested after a full meal & then had dessert! Alexander had a ball because he was able to play with Chris & Claire all day!

Thanksgiving Dinner...

This is Alexander's plate on Thanksgiving. He did not eat one single bite, nor was he interested in trying any of it.

Happy Thanksgiving...

Alexander would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
