Weekend Activities...

Alexander had another busy & fun weekend - Saturday was jam-packed!

Mommy & Alexander headed to gymnastics in the morning where we met up with Mimi. He did such an amazing job in class with his monkey jumps, backwards rolls and ring hang.

After gymnastics, Mommy & Alexander headed to Aidan's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese! It was crazy but the kids had a blast. Alexander mainly hung out with Sam as the two of them ran around deciding which games they wanted to play and see how many tickets they could get. They played lots of games before pizza & cake. At first most of the boys had seats at the end of the table near Aidan. Then they saw that the 'puppets' on stage would be dancing so they all decided to move their seats to the far end of the table. Watching from afar seemed like a much better idea. They had their pizza & cake and wanted to go use up the rest of the tokens on games. We used them up and then Dad joined us at Chuck E Cheese.

From there, Dad & Alexander headed to the next party for cousin Chris at uncle Steven's. Alexander told me that he had a lot of fun playing with the boys as they played together all afternoon. That night he fell asleep very quickly.

On Sunday, Dad & Alexander went bowling for a few hours with Matt, Michael, grandma & pop-pop. Alexander said he got lots of gutter balls but still had a lot of fun bowling. Then that afternoon, Mommy & Alexander played superheros, coloring, and worked on his class thank you cards.

Weekend Activities...

Alexander & Daddy had a busy weekend.  They were traveling down to NJ for the christening of the newest member of the family!  And to continue the celebrations, they had a big Christmas party.

Alexander got to play with all of his cousins and even got to see Santa - both Saturday & Sunday.  Saturday he stopped by the Christmas celebration and Sunday he drove by on a fire truck.

Sunday, they all went to mass and then went back to Grandma & Pop-pop's house for brunch.  The kids played games with each other all day!

Although the weekend was non-stop with all the kids and playing, which I'm sure makes him tired at the end of the day, he's had a great time.

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities...It was a busy yet fun weekend!

Saturday morning, Alexander & Mommy hung out at Mimi & Papi's before heading home.  We had breakfast, played Wii, and Alexander & Papi watched Cars 2.  Once at home, Alexander hung out with Daddy.  The boys had some good bonding time.

They worked on the leaves together outside (thankfully we've been very lucky with great weather).  They also hung out with our neighbors across the street.  That afternoon, Daddy took Alexander to the movies to see The Muppet Movie.  Alexander has seen the commercials and thought it looked funny....as it turned out, at one point Kermit talked about how he missed his friends and that made Alexander incredibly sad.  He started crying and didn't want to watch the rest of the movie.  So the boys headed home and chilled out at home.

Sunday morning, they hung out & played some Wii.  Then they went to play some indoor mini-golf and got some ice cream before coming home and watching football for the afternoon!

Mommy & Alexander did some cuddling in the afternoon during the Patriots game where he proceeded to root for a team on every game to win.  He loves his football!

Weekend Activities...

We finally had a fairly low key weekend without any major plans! Daddy went to NJ for Joan's birthday so it was just Mommy & Alexander.

Saturday we went to soccer (which he does very well with drills but once the coaches try to play a 'game' the boys have a tendency to run more than focus on drills).  After soccer, the original thought was that we would go into Fanueil Hall for the tree lighting (although that just feels too early for me) but Alexander wasn't up for it so we went to the Hingham Shipyard for a good burger instead.  We had some good food and then went over to the shipyard walk to check out the boats & took some fun photos.  After lunch, we headed to the mall where Alexander got some chocolate ice cream and played in the play area for a while. Came home & cuddled a bit before it was time for bed!

The plan for Sunday was to get dressed and out of the house fairly early however Alexander really just wanted to lounge around in the morning.  Instead of spending the whole day outside - we ran a few errands, went out to lunch and then Alexander started to get tired/cranky.  We went to a nearby bike trail and took a really nice walk.  After the walk, Alexander was still a bit cranky so after some quiet time, we watched a bit of football, had some dinner and got ready for bed.  Thankfully someone still really enjoys his new bed...

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities..yet another busy weekend!

Saturday
Saturday was a busy yet fun day!  Alexander woke up at 6a (Mommy's morning), and wanted to go downstairs around 7:30a.  After a good breakfast, Mommy & Alexander got ready for soccer.  Soccer went very well!  He listened to his coaches - did all the drills, wasn't too silly, and paid attention to what steps they were asking him to do.  When he listens & pays attention, he does very well.

After soccer, we met Deanna & Marina at Mommy's work so we could head into the Aquarium for the afternoon.  Alexander & Marina always have a great time when they are together - and the trip to the Aquarium was no exception.  The kids loved checking out the fish in the big tank - especially the sharks.  But then after lunch, we spent a great deal of time at the penguins watching them feed & the caretakers take care of a few in particular!  It was a long afternoon but that the aquarium but both kids had a blast and it was such a great time!

Sunday
Sunday's morning was low-key but relaxing.  Alexander slept til 7:20 (Daddy's morning) and then cuddled with Mommy watching cartoons til 8am.  After breakfast, Daddy & Alexander played Wii before going over uncle Matt's for the afternoon.  In the afternoon, Alexander & Michael played so many sports (baseball, soccer) and had a really good afternoon together.  Then Daddy & Alexander stayed for dinner.

Overall a nice, yet busy weekend

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities - yet another busy weekend!

Saturday
Saturday was a BUSY day!   Alexander had soccer, a birthday party, then home for trick or treating in our neighborhood.  We told Alexander that if there was any fighting/not listening/temper tantrums that he would be staying home as he didn't have a stellar week at school.  Thankfully he did very well Saturday morning and was on his best behavior.  He was able to go to all of his activities!

He was a bit silly at soccer but we're noticing that he definitely feeds off the energy of other kids - and there was another boy who was definitely into rough-housing this week.  However when the coaches had them do just drills to reduce silliness he did well.  He just has to focus and ignore kids around him who could get him into trouble.

After soccer, Mommy & Alexander went out to lunch as we had some time to kill before a birthday party that he was invited to.  It was for a girl from his class who left his class in September to go to kindergarten...she likes him so much that he was the only one invited from his class.  He had fun at the party - they played different games in the gym and then had some cake & ice cream and played some air hockey.

We headed home to meet up with Mimi and get ready for trick or treating!  We got all bundled up and headed out!  We let him choose which houses he wanted to go to...if the line was too long or seemed a bit creepy he wanted to pass.  And because it was daylight, you were able to see everyone's costumes more and he definitely made it a point to stay way from creepy costumes.  Yup, no denying this child is just like me when it comes to Halloween!

Sunday
Sunday was going to be a low-key day.  Alexander &  Daddy had plans to go hang with Michael for a bit at Uncle Matt's.  However that changed when Alexander threw a very large temper tantrum when we told him it was time to shut off the Wii and get dressed.  He had to have a timeout and as we told him that if he fought with us, he would not get to do fun things...so needless to say, Alexander got a timeout and his punishment was that he couldn't go to Michael's to play.  Once he finally calmed down, he & I had some lunch and relaxed a bit.  I also told him that if he remained calm & well behaved he could watch the Patriots game that afternoon.  He was able to keep it together in order to watch the game...so Daddy & Alexander watched the game together and Alexander asked questions about the game, the plays, and the rules the entire game.  It's great seeing him so interested in sports!

Weekend Activities...

For a weekend that started out to be low-key, it turned out to be quite busy.

Saturday
Saturday morning was soccer followed by Sam's 5th birthday party and that was the extent of weekend plans.  It took Alexander 40 minutes to get ready for soccer as he fought us on brushing his teeth and getting dressed.  He almost stayed home for the entire weekend, but he eventually rebounded.  It wasn't a fun morning, that's for sure.

Mommy & Alexander headed to soccer and Daddy was going to meet us there.  He did well at soccer.  He listened to his coach and did okay with some of his drills (there were times he just ran/slid rather than dribbling).  After soccer, Mommy & Alexander headed to Sam's birthday party.  This was a great opportunity for him to run around with his friends and burn off some of that extra fussy energy.  He had fun at the party (they played on an indoor bounce house and played games) and after some cake & ice cream headed back in to run around some more.

After the party, Daddy came to pick him up and the boys headed to uncle Matt's to hang out for a bit.  The plan was to head home for dinner/bed but once home and once the power went out, the boys went to Steve & Carolyn's for a sleep over (with power).

Sunday
Had breakfast at Steve & Carolyn's and got to play with the boys.  They headed back home around lunch and went immediately outside to play in the snow.  The shoveled neighbor Jon's driveway, had a snowball fight, and then built the giant snowman as it was perfect snow for a snowman.  We still did not have cable/internet/phone that afternoon, so Mommy & Alexander cuddled on the couch and watched the Charlie Brown shows.  For the record - Snoopy & Linus crack him up!

Weekend Activities...

We had a very busy weekend - Alexander did a great job with all of the different activities but more importantly he had a blast!

Saturday
Saturday morning started with soccer in the morning.  I don't know what was different about this week but all 4 boys did a really good job - both with listening and with the actual drills.  Alexander actually had a solid 30 minutes of good drills, good ball handling, good technique.
After soccer, Daddy & Alexander went to cousin Michael's birthday party.  It was an indoor playplace where the kids played on jumpees & played on soccer turf.  Then they all sang Happy Birthday to Michael.  From there, Alexander & Daddy went back to uncle Matt's house to hang out with everyone for a while before they went to cousin Nick's football game.
Alexander & Daddy stayed for all of the game as Alexander really likes watching Nick play football.  His voice was a bit hoarse from being outside in the chill air - let's hope he doesn't get sick!

Sunday
Sunday was another busy day!  Sunday morning was a relaxing morning, playing Wii with Daddy.  (For the record, on Mommy's morning Alexander woke at 5:30a; on Daddy's morning he woke at 7am)  They then went apple picking with the rest of the family for a few hours.
Daddy & Alexander came home and then it was the time Alexander has been talking about for 4 days - Cassie was coming over!  Mommy had a baby shower and Daddy was going to the Patriots game, so Cassie came over to watch Alexander for a few hours.  He was so excited.  Cassie & Alexander went to a nearby park, where they also met up with another teacher from school and her daughter.  Cassie said they played baseball and the two kids ran and ran and ran.  They got home right before Mommy did.
Then Mommy & Alexander cuddled on the couch and watch the rest of the Patriots game - where the Patriots won and we did our own little dance!  The little guy was asleep pretty quickly tonight!

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities - we had a busy, and fun weekend!

Saturday
Saturday morning, Mommy & Alexander headed out to soccer.  Again, only two kids this week at soccer.  And as luck would have it, it would have been great "private" lessons because Alexander was listening and not acting silly but the other kid was not behaving well and taking away from the coach.  They ended up playing soccer and trying to dribble & score goals no the coach.

After soccer, we met Mimi for lunch at Fridays.  After lunch, we went to the bookstore where Alexander showed Mimi the kids section and the places he likes to sit and read books.  It is cute to  watch him sit there, soaking it all in.  Alexander had a moment of freshness and almost didn't get the books he & Mimi picked out, but thankfully he did apologize for being fresh & acting out.  We then went over to Toys R Us so he could show Mimi how he rides the different bikes around and can practice his turns.

From there, we headed to Chris & Chris' house for Bennett's first birthday party (see separate post)!  Alexander had fun playing with Bennett but he also was smitten with Hannah (Chris' step-sister) - so if we ever need a babysitter, I know he'll enjoy hanging out with Hannah!  He was so pooped out from the day that he was asleep before we got home!

Sunday
Sunday morning, everyone was up!  Mommy & Alexander went apple picking in the morning.  We had fun on the hayride and he was more excited about being in the orchard.  He was a great ladder climber and trying to scout out the biggest & best apples.  After picking apples, we got some apple cider, checked out the piggies and headed home.  Once home, we watched football!  Somehow the Pats lost...then the boys went over to the high school to play before dinner & tubby.  Overall a quiet afternoon.

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities...

Saturday
Saturday morning, Alexander & Mommy hung out, then got ready for soccer.  Daddy, Mommy & Alexander headed to soccer for the "semi-private" class as only one other boy showed up besides Alexander this week.  The boys had fun and both have athletic ability.  We just have to work on getting Alexander to listen a bit and not being so silly and start to focus on what he's learning.

After soccer, Mommy & Alexander went out to lunch and then ran some errands.  One of our important errands was to pick out a birthday present for William.  William is a school friend and was having a party that afternoon.   Before the party, we went to the playground for a bit and then went to the party.

He had fun at the party - he got to play with William, Grace, Veronica & DJ.  He also got to see Jacob & Julia as we haven't seen them in a few months.  William also has a little doggie so we got more practice in with getting comfortable with dogs.  He started out really anxious but wasn't as bad when we were leaving.

Once we got home, Daddy & Alexander went over to the new football field across the street to ride his bike a bit.  Then it was home for dinner & bedtime as he was exhausted!

Sunday
After waking up at 5am and Mommy working with him to stay in his room until 'morning time', he finally decided to get up for the day around 5:45am and then decided to play with his cars in his room for a bit.

Sunday morning was a low-key morning with Daddy.  Then the gents got ready to hang out with uncle Matt & Michael for the afternoon.  The plan was to go to uncle Matt's for lunch, go to the zoo for a few hours and then head back to uncle Matt's to watch the Patriots game.

Weekend Activities...

We had quite a busy weekend with all sorts of activities.

Saturday
Saturday morning started with stripping beds and getting all sheets washed before 6am. Then we had a quiet morning with breakfast & Wii before swim class. Mommy & Alexander headed off to swim class & Alexander really has done exceptionally well. I'm pretty sure that maybe by the end of the summer, we could have him swim without his swim vest and he'd do well. After class, we snuck over to the kiddie pool so Alexander could swim a bit (snuck because we're not members of the Y so technically we should do the lesson and then head home). He was doing a great job of swimming, putting his face in the water, and kicking. However he was using the slide and decided to jump off. Both the lifeguard & I told him he couldn't jump off like that and I told him if he did it again, we'd have to leave. Unfortunately, he did it again and then proceeded to have a temper tantrum as I made good on my promise and we left the pool.

We headed home for lunch and then after lunch, Daddy & Alexander went to Steve & Carolyn's house for Will's birthday party. Alexander was so excited to go over and play with the boys! He got to play with the boys, go swimming and have a great afternoon. He was so tired that he fell asleep during the ride home.

Sunday
Sunday was a rainy day! Alexander woke up around 6:40am and after some cuddle/playtime with Mommy, Daddy & Alexander headed downstairs around 7am. The boys had a quiet morning with breakfast & Wii as well.

Mommy & Alexander made plans to go to lunch with Mimi & Papi. So we headed to Patriot Place (at Gillette Stadium) for lunch. Alexander was very excited to be so close to Gillette ("Where, you know, Tom Brady plays"). We had lunch, went over to Bass Pro Shops to see the turtles & fish. Then we walked around, in the rain, before we decided to get some ice cream. in the ice cream store, Alexander & Papi had a good game of make-shift air hockey.

Then we headed home as the sun decided to poke out and had dinner, tubby & a quiet & relaxing night.

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities....Yet another busy weekend to wrap up a jam-packed vacation!

Saturday
Daddy & Alexander walked over to Dunkin Donuts
Mommy & Alexander went to a pool party over at Christina's so he could hang with his school friends for a while. He wanted no part of going in the pool but instead using the water soaker all afternoon.
Mommy & Alexander came home and played baseball and chilled out as he was exhausted from being out in the sun all day
Played a bit with Daddy before bed

Sunday
Slept til 6:40am!
Daddy & Alexander had a low-key morning - played Wii (Mario Kart & Football)
The boys then went over Uncle Matt's for the afternoon to play with Michael. Alexander & Michael played baseball, water balloon fights, and used the slip & slide.
Daddy & Alexander then went fishing in the afternoon
Came home for dinner and tubby time (was asleep quickly as he was pooped)

Busy Weekend...

Alexander had a very busy weekend!

Started Friday night - Daddy & Alexander went over to uncle Matt's house to have dinner with Michael as Grandma & Pop-pop were up to babysit Michael for the weekend. Then once the boys got home, it was time to unwind and then head to bed.

Saturday started off with a fairly low-key morning - everyone was up and then Alexander & Daddy went to Dunkin Donuts. After that, Mommy & Alexander headed out to swim class. Alexander did a great job at swim class and listened really well to his instructor and was ready to take the swim class by storm. Daddy came to watch Alexander at swim class so that at the end of the class, he could bring Alexander back to have lunch with Michael and visit with Grandma & Pop-pop.

After lunch, they headed home and not long after, Mimi & Papi came over to pick up Alexander for a sleep-over. They headed back to Mimi & Papi's to play baseball and have dinner. Alexander did great on his sleep-over and wasn't worried or wanting Mommy like last time. He's growing up! The next morning, they made breakfast and headed to a playground/water park in Plymouth. He played on the swings, ran around in the water, and had a batman ice cream!

Once back at Mimi & Papi's, he was so tired that he napped for a while. Then Mommy picked him up and headed to Chatham for vacation!

Weekend Activities...

It was a busy and fun weekend! Daddy was in NJ for the weekend so it was just Mommy & Alexander - we made sure to stay busy the whole weekend and during the process had quite the fun weekend!

We started the weekend off with Alexander's first official swim lessons! He did amazing. He was so confident swimming in their by himself and really enjoyed himself. Of course, he did get super excited at one point that he was doing it by himself that while he was talking he kept taking in water, so I had to tell him to be excited but calm down.

After swim class, we headed over to Kirk & Deanna's house for the afternoon. They invited us to come over as they were going to their neighbor's house (Uncle Paul) for a little 4th of July BBQ. Marina & Alexander got to play together as well as enjoy the pool. Again, Alexander did fantastic swimming in the pool with his vest. He even jumped off the diving board, twice. Both times landing on my head. All in all, a really fun day!

Sunday was weird in that we couldn't figure out what the weather wanted to do...at first it was really sunny & hot, then it got cloudy & humid. We made plans to spend the afternoon with Stacey, Kelley & Elizabeth. And because of the impending rain, we decided to keep things indoors. We did lunch, went to the Disney store, then went to the Laser show which is all about Boston. We took the kids to see the holiday version back in December and they loved it. They liked this one as well and because we went to the last show of the day, we were the only ones there so the kids really got to yell out and cheer when the Boston sports teams were displayed.

Overall it was a really nice weekend with the lad & I.

Weekend Activities...

We had yet another busy weekend!

Saturday
This was our first Saturday where we didn't have to get up & get ready for gymnastics but we still had things to do! Alexander was invited to Maureen's party which was in the afternoon. Since Mommy had a family non-kid wedding, Alexander stayed home and went to the party with Daddy.

Before the party, Alexander & Daddy mowed the lawn and went to the dump. The boys then had some lunch and got ready for the party. Daddy said Alexander had a blast at the party. It was at the same gym place where Veronica had hers - the kids got to run around & then do fun activities before singing Happy Birthday to Maureen.

After the party, Daddy & Alexander went to hang out with cousin Michael for the afternoon at uncle Matt's. The boys got to play, hang out & have dinner before the boys headed home for bed. Before they left, they noticed there were ticks on the boys....looks like it's going to be one of those summers.

Sunday
Sunday morning was an early one because Alexander woke up last night around 11:40p and was up til almost 12:45am due to coughing and then he said his tummy hurt because he was hungry. And at one point he mentioned his ear hurt. After some cuddling, back & forth between rooms, and some medicine, he finally fell back to sleep but did wake up earlier than anticipated.

Mommy & Alexander had some breakfast, played a few games and then got ready to head to the movies for his first trip to the movie theatre. He did a great job at the movies and had a lot of fun with his friends.

After the movies, we headed to the toy store as he had a gift card from his birthday. He picked out a ball and a hot wheels track thing. I thought for sure he would want something 'Cars' related since we just came from the movie but he picked something else. After the store, we went out to have a late lunch/early dinner and he did a great job. He ordered pasta & carrots rather than cheeseburger & french fries. He even tried some of my soup. So proud!

After lunch, we came back and played outside with his new ball where he was showing me his fantastic kicking skills. Then Daddy came home from fishing/errands, and Alexander played a bit with Daddy before the boys decided to go fishing for a bit.

Came home - had a pbj sandwich, took a shower, had a few almost meltdowns due to how tired he was and then upstairs for bed. Overall a very busy yet fun weekend!

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities...we had yet another busy weekend in June!

Saturday
We started the morning with a very early wake-up call from the little guy. He wanted to watch tv but I explained we were not turning on the tv that early and if he didn't want to lay there quietly he could go back into his room to read books or play. He laid there for a bit and then all of a sudden said "Mommy, I had an accident". YUP! We had to strip the bed - everything somehow got wet. Not a good way to start the day by having to strip your own bed before 5:40am. Alexander continued the morning by being very whiny for no reason well except that he was probably tired.

Then it was time for gymnastics! This week Daddy was bringing Alexander to gymnastics as Mommy had her show at Fenway Park. And for an extra treat, Mimi wanted to come to gymnastics as well but didn't know it was just Daddy so Daddy got some company. Mimi hung out for a bit and then three of them went out to lunch and played for a bit. In the afternoon, Daddy & Alexander killed some time by going to some stores as the weather was pretty crappy. Then they went to the bookstore where Alexander got some new books. The boys went out to dinner and then home for a easy-going bedtime.

Sunday
Daddy & Alexander had their morning which seemed to have less whining. Then after playing with some trains, goofing around with Mommy - we had some lunch so we could get ready to go to Connor's birthday party.

After lunch, we headed over to Connor's for his birthday party. Thankfully the weather held out and no rain so the kids could play outside on the swingset and the jumpy house. The boys all seemed to be pretty sensitive and overtired today because they all would cry and break down if someone looked at them wrong. Even Alexander who isn't a big cryer would cry over little things today. After cake and some more playing, we headed out which only created more tears because he didn't want to leave.

He took a mini nap in the car which seemed to help a bit...but then it was time for dinner which seem to cause yet another meltdown as he didn't want what Mommy made. Thankfully he seemed to be much better after tubby because bedtime was much easier than expected and he was asleep pretty quickly.

Weekend Activities...

Weekend Activities - we had quite the busy, non-stop weekend!

Saturday
Saturday morning, Mommy & Alexander headed to gymnastics where he did a great job with his flips and even went to the top bar on the uneven bars. He will now walk the entire length of the balance beam without trying to get off half way through - progress!

That afternoon, he and Daddy went over Steve & Carolyn's for Nick's birthday. He got to see the boys, hang out with Michael and visit with Grandma & Pop-pop. The boys played ball, tag and enjoyed hanging out. Although it was a bit too chilly to go swimming, he did sit by the pool and put his feet in.

He had such a long, good day that he fell asleep in the car pretty quickly for Daddy

Sunday
Sunday morning, Alexander "helped" Daddy change the faucet in the kitchen. Okay, so he didn't really help but he did poke his head in the kitchen every now & then. Later on, Mommy & Alexander headed out to go to Sophia's christening - Sophia is the latest addition to the Spaulding clan! Chris & Claire were at the church as well so Alexander got to sit with them and it kept him entertained. After the church, we went over to Peter & Arlene's to celebrate. Alexander loved playing with the kids and he spent the day in the jumpy house.

He also did a great job with my cousin Kelly's little dog and loved to joke around with Funny Billy. We got home pretty late so he took a shower and then we headed up to bed! As he had a pretty busy weekend, he was asleep fairly quickly.

Weekend Activities...

We definitely had a mixed weekend with amount of plans. Saturday was incredibly busy and non-stop with things to do where as Sunday was the exact opposite.

Saturday
Saturday morning, Alexander and I had a quiet morning with some breakfast, trains, and relaxing before it was time to go to gymnastics.

We headed to gymnastics and Alexander was excited to see if Mr. Anthony was going to be there. Mr. Anthony reminds me of Uncle Paul as he's super nice and funny. He & Alexander have this little joke where they point to each other and say "I know youuuu". It's cute. Alexander did great this week in gymnastics - listened to his teachers, did well with his tumbles, the bar and again on the balance beam.

After gymnastics, we headed home for lunch and to get ready for Grace's birthday party. However since we had some time before we needed to leave, Alexander was able to go hang out with Daddy outside and then they even headed over to the lake to do a little fishing. Alexander was very excited that they caught 5 sunny fish. And according to Alexander they "almost caught 20 sunnies fish but only 5 we gots"

Alexander and Mommy then headed to Grace's birthday party (Daddy was babysitting cousin Michael) which was a Pajama themed party. It was cute, they decorated chef hats, had story time and then did some baking! During baking, it turned out to be the boy table and the girl table. The boys all did well with each other helping out and they all got to take turns putting ingredients into the bowl. Alexander got to crack the eggs and put them into the bowl and he did a great job and was so proud of himself 'Hey Mom, I gots no shells". After the magic oven "cooked" their donuts, they were able to frost & decorate them (the hostess already had donuts pre-made). After decorating, it was cake time! They all sang happy birthday and had some yummy cake and then it was time to head home as the boys were starting to want to run around!

On the way home, Mommy & Alexander decided to make pizza for dinner and stopped to get all the ingredients. Might as well have a day full of cooking...so we got our ingredients and went home and made some yummy pizza. After dinner, we played trains, read books and then it was a pretty early night for both of us.

Sunday
Sunday was a nice low-key day for everyone. Alexander woke up around 6:15am and it was a quiet morning until he & Daddy headed downstairs. They had breakfast and played a few games (Chutes & Ladders/Candy Land) and then they headed outside to do some yardwork. Alexander started to help Daddy but then decided he wanted to play with his bouncey ball for a bit. The boys went to Home Depot for a bit and came back and then they played baseball where Alexander had some great hits (unfortunately one of them hit Daddy on the cheek). Mommy was inside cleaning and chilling out so then Alexander came in for a break so he & I did a bit of cuddling before he wanted to go back outside. This time he wanted me to come play ball & soccer with him so we ran around a bit before dinner time.

We had yummy dinner and then we played with trains for a bit - we tried to do a new track but kept getting stuck. Then after tubby time, we read some books and Alexander was asleep pretty quickly!

Overall a good weekend!

Weekend Activities...

It was a busy weekend!

Saturday consisted of Gymnastics in the morning followed by some lunch and then helping Daddy in the yard (garden & mowing the lawn). After some yard work, Alexander & Mommy went to Veronica's birthday party.

He had a blast at Veronica's birthday party! They got to jump in a ball pit, a trampoline and then they did little games & activities after some free-play! They did musical mat, dodge ball, and even a zip line. They really had a good time!

Sunday was a gray/rainy day. The morning was lowkey with some breakfast, playing and hanging out. Then in the afternoon, Michael & uncle Matt came over. The boys played trains and then headed out for some indoor minigolf and ice cream!

Overall it was a very busy yet nice weekend for Alexander!

Weekend Activities...

For a weekend that didn't have anything specific planned, it turned out to be a busy one!

Saturday
Early morning with Mommy as we had to make sure we were washed/clean early (shutting off water for the day due to local construction )
Headed to gymnastics (did some running and cutting friends in line) but did have fun
Then Alexander & Mommy headed to the Aquarium to see sharks & penquins
After snack and checking out the sea lions, we went to the Plaza to meet up with Auntie & our friend Megan for a late lunch
Alexander was our photographer during lunch
We then walked around the mall for a bit before heading home, which he fell asleep in the car
Woke him up so he would sleep throughout the night and he finally fell asleep around 10:30p

Sunday
Low-key morning with Daddy filled with breakfast, race track, & trains
After relaxing a bit and then playing upstairs, Daddy & Alexander practiced fishing outside as they were getting their fishing rods ready for the season
Then the two of them went to Uncle Matt's to go play with Michael for a few hours - Alexander came home with dirty knees - sign of a lot of fun by playing outdoors
The boys came home and Mommy chased a half-naked boy around the room who was trying to unmake my bed as I was making it, then he watched a little bit of tv before it was time for dinner & tubby time (Daddy was going to the Red Sox/Yankee game)
