Weekly Glance...

Weekly Glance (Monday, November 9th - Sunday, November 15th, 2009)

  • Had an on/off type of week at school...Beginning of the week he was whiny/fussy/asking for Mommy; towards the end of the week he was in much better spirits.
  • Only slept through the night once this week...
  • Wednesday was a rough morning/day where Alexander would NOT listen to anyone. He was very fresh going into school/class, so much so that Mommy, during drop-off, had to put him in the chair in class where kids go when they're not listening. Rough.
  • Later that day, Alexander was pushing a lot of his friends because they wanted to play with toys he played with earlier.
  • Thankfully, Thursday & Friday were much better days at school
  • Monday night - had a giggle fest during dinner
  • Tuesday night - Alexander peed in the potty at home for the first time!!!
  • Thursday night, Mommy & Alexander went to Target for our weekly visit. Alexander did very good of listening to Mommy as we walked around the store. The only thing he "asked" to take home was a holiday wine bucket. He was enamored by the holiday dishes and said "I need this, Momma"
  • Friday night consisted of a family pizza party
  • Saturday was a very low-key type of day at home (rainy, raw) so we played with trains, trucks & painted
  • Saturday night, we had another family dinner (this is a nice habit we've got going on)
  • Went to the Aquarium Sunday morning with Mommy
  • Baked cookies with Mommy after nap
  • Sunday evening consisted of another family dinner & then tubby
  • LOVES singing ABC's
  • Played with the ladybugs & he was in awe of them, loved having them crawl on his hand - then we put them out the window for them to go to bed
  • Doctor's Kit & "Dentist" gloves are still a big hit
  • One of the 4 remaining teeth is in, just waiting on the other 3!

Turtles have Poops...

This morning, Alexander & Mommy went to the Aquarium. It was a very last minute, spur-of-the moment, idea. But I figured I could bring him in early, and still get home for a lazy afternoon (Mommy has had migraines & this morning was no exception).

We saw the penguins, which are still his favorite, turtles, two big sharks, stingrays & jellyfish. He also went over to the touch exhibit where he held a star fish, a crab & a snail. He did pretty good with them except he wanted to splash water.

Then we walked by the "Hospital" area and they had a turtle in a tub (he had a cold). Alexander was so excited to watch the turtle flap around but even more excited when the worker came over, with gloves on, to clean up the poop. It was his most favorite part for the rest of the day "Momma, turtles have poops and gloves on".

After we got a light lunch, we headed back to the parking garage. We walked along the waterfront and Alexander expressed his dislike for seagulls & pigeons. "Me no like birdies". Overall, we had really nice morning & have become experts in the Aquarium.

Aquarium Pics...

Here are some pictures of our trip to the Aquarium...

Alexander & I taking in the penguin exhibit - he *LOVES* penguins!Ooh look more penguins...He wanted me to take a picture because this penguin was waving at him. And I quote "Mommy picture, penguin waving at me. Hi penguin!"Here he is holding a starfishAnd trying to measure up next to a shark to see how tall he is but he kept slouching...

Dancin' Machine...

Here's a fun video of Alexander showing off his moves...(this will be even cuter when I add music to it!)

Another Milestone...

While Alexander has gone pee in the potty a few times at school, he has yet to pee in a potty at home. Every now & then the interest is there but it hasn't been constant.

Then tonight as we were getting ready for tubby, he wanted to sit on the potty. And after a few minutes he got excited and said "pee's coming Momma".

It was over before it began...but alas he peed in the potty!

And for the record, I did take a picture but I'll refrain from posting so he doesn't completely hate me when he's older.

Photo Recap (Monday, November 2nd - Sunday, November 8th, 2009)

What do I do if he goes to the "time out" chair on his own and says "I need a time out" when he didn't do anything...ohhh! haha!

Weekly Glance...

Weekly Glance (Monday, November 2nd - Sunday, November 8th, 2009)

  • A very quiet, lowkey week
  • Nothing major happening at school except for a few whiny moments where he thinks none of his other friends can have a Mommy
  • Good news of the week - Connor moved up to his class so now Alexander, Aidan & Connor are back together
  • Remaining teeth are breaking through
  • Daddy & Alexander came to see Mommy get her haircut Tuesday after school (he was a big hit at the salon)
  • Mommy & Alexander went to Target after school on Thursday (Daddy went to volleyball) then came home and had a mini-tubby
  • Did excellent at bedtime with brushing his teeth & putting on his jammies by himself
  • Helped Daddy due the leaves on Saturday
  • Daddy did bedtime duties on Saturday as Mommy went out with some friends
  • Went to the playground with Daddy on Sunday
  • 4th week in a row where we've had a family dinner & he eats more each week
  • Is getting better with his manners without being prompted
  • Twice this week ran over to the "time-out" chair saying he needed a time-out although he did nothing wrong and thought it was funny
  • Since getting his doctor kit, he gets a "tummy hurts" followed by a "stay home momma"...I think the whole not going to school due to illness is starting a bit too early
  • Interesting point to note: On Mommy's morning to get up, Alexander woke up at 5:30am, but on Daddy's morning, he slept til 6:30am. It's like clock-work.

Finally...

Finally...the last of the pesky teeth are breaking through!!

His last three teeth are coming in. Soon enough, he'll have a full set of teeth! Hopefully he gets to keep these for a bit before they start falling out!
