Future ballplayer...

Is it possible?? Could Alexander really be ambidextrous when it comes to playing baseball? I know Daddy was quite excited at the possibility....

Danger...

It appears to be a bit dangerous to have Mommy play baseball...after a few ACCIDENTAL line-drives that wizzed by Alexander, he decided he was just going to lie down on the ground. It was safer that way!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

We went to the PawSox game Saturday night and we were able to be there for the 7th inning. Alexander was pretty excited to sing for "Take Me Out To The Ballgame". However when time came to sing, he was pretty quiet...UNTIL...I stopped recording him.
C'est la vie!

Watching it after he looked like he was in a weird state of shock...too funny!

For the Love of the Game...

Alexander loves playing baseball - loves hitting, throwing, and "catching".Today, we went to Uncle Steven & Carolyn's house for Nick's birthday. Then we went to see Nick & Chris' game and Alexander loved it!
While at the house, he played ball with Daddy. And he was doing a pretty decent job of hitting the ball. He also had good form and a good throw with some distance.
He loved watching the big players and then playing himself. Sitting in the stands, he was providing commentary with Michael, giving the other spectators a laugh. Then he was having a ball playing around in the batting cages - throwing & running!
The funniest part was that he would throw the ball to Daddy and then yell "HOME RUN" and start running around.

PawSox Game...

After honoring our troops, what's the next best way to celebrate Memorial Day?? A baseball game of course! He was so good, standing still, with his hand up for the National Anthem. We went to the Pawtucket Red Sox game and Alexander had an absolute blast! He got to see Sox (the female pup and she even signed a ball for him!)...we did look for Paws but he was a sneaky little pup and we never found him on the concourse. In true baseball fashion, he had a hot dog, peanuts, french fries & popcorn! And seemed to want more!
He loved sitting there with his glove waiting for any fly balls...there were at least a half dozen or so that came near us but not close enough for us to bring one home.

Play Ball...

Alexander is turning into quite the little ball player... he has a good stance, takes a step when swinging, and when he makes contact the ball actually goes far! Not only that, the kid has a good throwing arm too - Major League Baseball here we come...

Cool Gift...

Alexander got his first package in the mail yesterday. It was from Uncle Steve & Aunt Ann.

It's the coolest baseball ever and it even has it's own case so it can't get destroyed.

I think I know the perfect place for it too!

Thanks Uncle Steve, Aunt Ann & the girls...
