Marina's Birthday...

Alexander went to Marina's birthday party today as Marina turns 3! He had an amazing time playing with Marina and his new buddy Ethan!

Fun with Friends - Part II...

Since today was a holiday and we had the day off, Alexander & Mommy had a playdate!  We got to spend the afternoon with Marina!

The kids had a blast!  They were running around playing chase, hide & seek, played in her new house, & enjoyed sharing their lunch.  I think the highlight might have been the two of them sliding down the stairs on their bum!

Weekend Festivies...

This weekend, Alexander & Mommy went to New Hampshire to celebrate our friend Deanna's birthday.  Kirk rented a house in New Hampshire to surprise Deanna.  He invited a few of her close friends and it worked so well because the other 2 couples also had kids.  There were 5 kids - Alexander, Marina, and 3 other kids but what made it great was that all of the kids were around the same age, so everyone had someone to play with.

We got up to NH around 5:30p, made some pizzas, kids played and then Deanna got to the house for the big surprise!  She was so surprised!  Saturday was a nice day, where we had a low key morning with a good breakfast, then we packed up the kids in strollers and walked to town so the kids can play at the playground and get out of the house.  We walked back to the house, had lunch, and the kids played games and even did some arts & crafts.  After dinner, Marina wanted to help get Alexander put on his pajamas.  Then they helped each other with brushing teeth - it was very cute!

Sunday, we had another nice morning with breakfast and spending time with everyone.  Then we went outside to enjoy the nice weather and amazing views (did I mention the house was on a Mountain?) and took some group photos to remember the weekend.

Overall, it was a great weekend - very relaxing and everyone had a good time!

Pool Party

Today Alexander was invited to a pool party over his friend Christina's house! He was quite excited to see his friends after being out from school for the week. I was expecting him to be swimming in the pool the entire time but he found a water shooter and was connected to that for the afternoon.He had a blast hanging out with Christina & Sean for most of the day and at one point, the water fight became kids vs. adults. And the kids did fairly well for themselves!

Next Generation...

During our visit to NJ, we wanted to go visit with one of Dan's oldest friends, Anthony. Saturday morning, we went over to Anthony & Maria's for breakfast. It was great because John & Hua also came over. Dan, Anthony & John have been friends since kindergarten.

And while we were getting breakfast set up, Anthony's two boys & Alexander were playing together & watching Cars. Alas, the next generation:

Summer Fun...

Today, we went to hang out with Kirk & Deanna to enjoy a summer afternoon! Alexander was very excited to see his friend Marina.We also went over to their neighbor's house and played in his pool for a bit. Alexander, being the dare-devil that he is jumped in a few times and even jumped off the diving board. He had NO fear.Then after some swimming time, we played baseball while Marina enjoyed her new car!

Visit with Friends...

Today, we went to go visit some good friends of ours, Kirk & Deanna. They just had a little baby girl, Marina, in February. We were finally able to schedule some time to go over, spend some quality time & visit without conflicting schedules, people being sick, etc. We had a great afternoon.
Marina is adorable and such a well behaved little girl. She didn't cry once the entire time we were there and as long as you babbled with her, she was in heaven! Alexander was also very well behaved with Marina. He was interested and even wanted to check her out when she was in her swing. I think the part that intrigued me the most was that Alexander was not at all jealous when I was holding her and kept pointing to her saying "baby".


Alexander was very gentle with Marina, using nice hands. He even wanted to give her a kiss and waited for us to be right there.

Gotta Have Friends...

Lately, Alexander has been quite cooperative but we have to give credit to where credit is due. His friends.

He wants his friends to help us get him dressed, change diapers, put on shoes, etc...but it's working.

So I thought it would be nice to thank his friends and show everyone else who is friends are. Right now, Monkey is his favorite with Elmo & Abby a close 2nd.

Christening...

This weekend we went to NJ to celebrate the Christening of Anthony & Maria's 2nd little boy, Michael. Dan & Anthony grew up together so it's been nice to see them when we can and watch the boys grow. (Per usual, I blocked out the faces of the other kids as I don't post them without permission)

It was very cute - Anthony (the 3rd) went right over to Alexander, gave him a hug, stood there, and then ran away. He did this a few times.
