Weekend Festivies...

This weekend, Alexander & Mommy went to New Hampshire to celebrate our friend Deanna's birthday.  Kirk rented a house in New Hampshire to surprise Deanna.  He invited a few of her close friends and it worked so well because the other 2 couples also had kids.  There were 5 kids - Alexander, Marina, and 3 other kids but what made it great was that all of the kids were around the same age, so everyone had someone to play with.

We got up to NH around 5:30p, made some pizzas, kids played and then Deanna got to the house for the big surprise!  She was so surprised!  Saturday was a nice day, where we had a low key morning with a good breakfast, then we packed up the kids in strollers and walked to town so the kids can play at the playground and get out of the house.  We walked back to the house, had lunch, and the kids played games and even did some arts & crafts.  After dinner, Marina wanted to help get Alexander put on his pajamas.  Then they helped each other with brushing teeth - it was very cute!

Sunday, we had another nice morning with breakfast and spending time with everyone.  Then we went outside to enjoy the nice weather and amazing views (did I mention the house was on a Mountain?) and took some group photos to remember the weekend.

Overall, it was a great weekend - very relaxing and everyone had a good time!

Weekend in Mount Washington ...

This weekend was our company outing to Mount Washington, NH. It was a great time and Alexander had a blast! We shared a townhouse with our friends, Kirk & Deanna who have a little girl, Marina. Alexander & Marina love playing with each other & are actually pretty good together. They scream when they see each other - which I think Alexander was the one who taught Marina that trick.

Friday night was a gathering at the hotel where we walked around the veranda until it was time to take the kiddies to bed.

Saturday, we had planned to go to North Conway but the weather was a bit rainy. Plus, Alexander ended up sleeping in the car, so we drove around for 2 hours while he napped. Then we went back to the townhouse and the kids played before it was time for dinner.After dinner, we hung out on the veranda again. We took some pictures and the kids danced! We had a wonderful, low-key evening!

Daddy even showed Alexander some of his dance "moves" - Alexander thought they were pretty funny.Then we headed home pretty early on Sunday so we could get home in time for Alexander's swim class!

Weekend Plans...

This weekend is our works' annual Company Outing. Every year, the company has a summer outing and for the last 5+ years it has been at Mt. Washington Hotel in New Hampshire. We didn't go last year but thought Alexander would enjoy himself this year as there will be LOTS of kids.

We're staying with a guy Dan works with and his family. They have a daughter a few months younger than Alexander so it will be cute to watch them play & interact. We're all going to go to Storyland on Saturday. It should be a good time.
