Air Show...

Today, Alexander went with Mimi & Papi to the Portsmouth Air Show. He also got to hang out with Brandon for the day too so the boys watched the tricks and demos of all sorts of planes & jets.

They got to see all sorts of demos of planes, watched guys jump out of planes with parachutes and even got to walk into two very large planes and check them out from inside. Alexander now wants to be a pilot when he's 22 or 82. He also wants to jump out of plane like the guy with parachutes. I told him I'd take him & go with him when he's older. Alexander said he had a great day and loved the planes and that the noise wasn't that bad at all.

When they called to check in to say they were heading home, Alexander was in the background and said "make sure to tell Mom that the Thunderbirds were awesome". He had a great time and he & Papi have already made annual plans for the air show.

Playdate...

Thursday night, Alexander got a little surprise - Mimi & Papi came to help pick him up at school.

He was going to have a 'playdate' with Mimi & Papi for the evening. So it's not really a playdate because they were babysitting while Mommy & Daddy went to see Harry Connick but that's what he called it.

They went out for dinner to the Pub, then they came home and after hanging out a bit, they got ready for bed. Alexander did well listening and paying attention and actually going to bed without an issue!

Project Time...

Mimi & Papi were here for a sleep-over as Mommy & Daddy went to NYC to see Harry Connick Jr.

While here, Mimi had a cool project for them to do together! It would also serve as a present for Mommy & Daddy's garden (and also match the other one).They mixed the cement & put in glass/stones for a stepping stone that you place in your yard/garden! He even put his initials in it!

Playdate Time...

On Sunday, Alexander went for a play-date with Mimi & Papi to visit with Brandon (Brandon is the grandson of Ellie & Ernie who are friends of Mimi & Papi).They went to an indoor play area so the boys could play around! And that they did - they had a blast! They got to jump in the jumpy house, play in the Dragon Castle, and ride little bikes around a track!
And then to top the day off - they got some ice cream! The boys had a great time together and they have decided they want to go to the playground to watch planes for their next play-date.Per usual, I blocked out Brandon's face

Topsfield Fair...

Today, Alexander went to the Topsfield Fair with Mimi & Papi! It was something that they used to take us to as kids as well. They met up with their friends who also have a grandson, Brandon, the same age as Alexander.

The boys had a blast playing together (Monkey-See, Monkey-Do)! They saw lots of different animals (sheep, cows, horses, camels, elephants, chickens). They rode on some rides (Merry-Go-Round, train, car, and tractors).

They also had lots of cool fair food which of course he'd never eat at home (for example: lo mein noodles). Alexander came home with a cool Thomas the Train balloon too!

Everyone enjoyed their time at the fair!

Sunday Morning Brunch...

This morning we met Mimi & Papi for brunch. Alexander loaded up his plate with a pancake, waffle, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, & fruit. He ate a few bites of things and then proceeded to fill up on fruit.

At first we had a table near a statue of a mailman which freaked him out. He wouldn't move off Mimi's arm...so we got another table and he was in much better spirits!

He was more excited about going to check out the chef making the omelettes and seeing what was going on than sitting for long period of time while eating.

But at least he ate a variety of things, so that's a plus...
