Week Ten: At A Glance

Here's a look back at Week Ten (May 28th through June 3rd), along with some of my favorite pictures from the week. And for the record, I did not pose him in the first picture. I propped him up and he was moving around and he put his hand under his chin.

*Rolled over for the first time by himself

*Two Month Check-up complete with shots (9 lbs 5 oz; 22 1/2"). Alexander & Daddy did better than Mommy with the shots
*Had his first fever Friday night (low grade - 100.8*) so we gave him Infant Tylenol for the first time which worked well and thankfully he liked it.

*Bedtime routine getting better where he's been sleeping in the pack & play at night from Tuesday - Saturday. Friday night he slept a six-hour stretch!

*Sat in his bumpo seat for the first time

*Got to visit a whole bunch of family this week (Alyson, Grammie, Grampie, Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Sue, Cissy, BL, Pitsy, Arlene, & Casey)

*Afternoon fussiness still continues even if he takes a nap.

*Took a nap both Thursday& Friday afternoons

*Went for a 3-mile walk with Mommy

*Sucks on his fingers/hands when he's lying down in the pack & play
*Went for a car ride almost every night with Daddy to help calm him down
*Loves to smile and blow bubbles
*He's starting to make 'razz' sounds and finally figured it out Sunday afternoon
*Loves bathtime. For each bath he took this week, he didn't cry once and loves being moved around in the water.

Family Roots...

This weekend was a Family-themed weekend.

As I mentioned, we went to my great-Aunt Pitsy's (on my mom's side) house for a graduation party. We were able to see Mom's side and Alexander was able to meet Nana & Papa as well as some other family members he hasn't met yet. We got a few pictures of Alexander with my grandparents and then we took a picture of the Four Generations: My Grandfather, My Mom, Me & Alexander.

Then today, Dan's parents came over for a visit since they were up this weekend for Nick's birthday. Unfortunately, Alexander wasn't very cooperative while they were here. We were hoping he'd go down for a nap before they'd get here and then once he woke up, he'd be ready to smile & hang out. That was not the case. He napped a bit but was VERY fussy. He was on his eating-every-hour schedule today. We were able to get a few pictures in before he let us know that he was not here to play around.

Milestone...

We've hit a milestone!

Yesterday, while lying in his pack & play, Alexander rolled over all by himself. I put him in there on his stomach and came in to check on him and he was mid-roll (hence the picture). he went from his stomach to his back without any problems!

I'm such a proud mommy.

I also think I've figured out why he won't sleep in his bassinet, it's too restrictive. This kid likes room - he needs to move. When in his pack & play, he will start at one direction and when I come in to check on him, he's either turned himself 180* or 360* the other direction. Certainly, not like his Mommy who can stay in one position all night.

Saturday we went to my cousin's graduation party where Alexander got to meet my grandparents so we got a picture of Four Generations. I'll upload those soon - but now it's diaper time.
