Annual Christmas Card...

Tonight, Alexander & I worked on some potential photos for the annual Christmas Card!  Keep your eye on the mail (well unless otherwise noted that the card just didn't work out...)

Fingers crossed that it comes out as we planned!

Argyle Tradition continues...

Tonight, I took Alexander to get his pictures taken and the tradition of wearing argyle in pictures has continued!

I was hoping to surprise everyone with the pictures but I couldn't resist posting a picture of how cute he is in his outfit! But at least the surprise will be how the pictures came out!

Christmas Card Photoshoot...

Today we held our annual Christmas Card photoshoot. I had high expectations and had a good talk with Alexander about him listening & cooperating. He said he was going to be a good listener.

It didn't start out so good but thankfully with a quick change of scenery he did great!

It's official - our Christmas Card photoshoot was successful & the card has been ordered!

Photoshoot...

Today, Alexander and I spent the day together since I had been gone for a few days. It was a great Mommy & Alexander day. I had made an appointment to get his 3rd year photos taken and then figured we'd do lunch and hang out.

For the photos, I went to a new place this time and I have to say how impressed I was with no only the studio, but the photographer! She truly worked with him to make it fun yet still get poses out of him that didn't look fake. She took about 25 pictures in a 20 minute span and most of them were so incredibly cute! She went for serious, fun, and just overall silly. I can't wait to get the actual photos once they come in!

Valentine's Day...with Photoshoot

For Valentine's ...we celebrated a bit lowkey. We had a family lunch at Cheesecake Factory on Saturday (trying to avoid the Valentines crowds), then we walked around the mall for a bit.
On Sunday, Mommy & Alexander had some breakfast & then opened his valentines presents. Which we then proceeded to bowl in the kitchen. Then Daddy & Alexander headed to uncle Steven's house to visit with the clan as well as see Grandma & Pop-pop who were up visiting.

But, it wouldn't be a holiday without a photo shoot of some kind in our house. So to prepare for Valentine's Day...we had our own photo shoot.

Photoshoot: Christmas Style!

It's official! The photoshoot for our 2009 Christmas Card is complete! I'm pretty excited about our card this year...I think we have a memorable one if I've ever seen one. It's certainly an eye-catcher!

We're ahead of schedule this year so hopefully you won't have to wait long before our card lands in your mailboxes.

Anyone care to take a guess?

Easter Photoshoot...

We had a mini Easter Photoshoot at home...and Alexander did extremely well posing with the bunny ears, basket & eggs... although once we tried to add the tail, he seemed to loose interest.

2 Year Official PhotoShoot

Today, Mommy & Mimi took Alexander to get his official 2-Year pictures taken. We were not positive as to how he would be but he was in a good mood, so we were hopeful. We were under the impression that it was going to be 50/50.

While we waited, Alexander & Mimi walked around the store, where Alexander was extremely well behaved. They rode the little Ernie & Bert firetruck and he held her hand when they were walking.
When it was our turn, Alexander was a bit clingy at first but he warmed up to the girl VERY quickly. He was giving her high-fives, blowing kisses, and asking her to blow kisses to Monkey. Because I figured that he'd participate more if Monkey was there, Monkey got to be in some pictures.
At one point, the photographer was trying to switch the chair for the bench and get Alexander to sit sideways on the bench. She slide the bench over to the other direction and asked him to sit back down. Without a peep, he got behind the bench and moved it back to where we had it before. Guess he knows how he likes his pictures taken...Then since he was doing so well, in a great mood, and we still had some time, she took a few shots for Easter. They came out VERY cute as Alexander was all about giving the bunny loving. Overall, an extremely successful visit!

Photoshoot...

Alexander & I did a fun photo shoot for St. Patrick's Day... he really enjoyed counting the gold coins and then throwing them around. Here are some of the outakes:

He tried to bite a gold coin and realize it didn't taste well...

Photoshoot...

Today we took Alexander to get his professional Christmas photos taken. However despite the great nap and the good mood going in he wanted NOTHING to do with it. He didn't want to pose, he didn't want to sit there, he didn't want to let go of me or Grammie.

Warning: venting for a moment. The girl who was taking his pictures was inpatient and not that helpful. I believe she thinks that because a feather duster works for some kids that it will work for all kids. If my kid winces and looks away, odds are he doesn't find that favorable. Also, even if you "think" that it is not a professional pose, if the child is smiling & happy you may want to take a picture. She was so disinterested and some times not even paying attention. It brings me back to my thought of if you are going to work with little kids (hair cuts, photographers, Santas), then you should know going in that you need to be patient and sometimes creative. Don't give attitude...

And it stinks because he looked so INCREDIBLY handsome/cute/adorable and the pictures would have been fantastic...(just a sneak peak at his outfit)

18 Month Photoshoot...

Alexander has been a bit tempermental lately. Most times he has his meltdowns when he's with me and just likes to scream & flail about. We knew going into this mini-photoshoot that it probably wouldn't go well as he was already starting to crash. But we figured we'd try it anyway...
Well, as you can tell from the pictures, the poor guy wanted nothing to do with this and we didn't really push it further...

15 Month Photoshoot...

Here are some shots of our 15 month photoshoot with the glove...(the next one will be at 18 Months)

He was in a really good mood and cooperated with us 100%. I guess it helped that he just woke up from a 2+ hour nap.

12 Month Photoshoot Pictures...

We had Alexander's 12 month (birthday) pictures taken at the same place where we had his 6 Month pics taken. He did very well and was in a really great mood. The photographer was good and got him to smile (she did keep blowing his hair the wrong way though...) I still don't know which one is my favorite but I do fancy two the most.

And for giggles...here is the link to his Six Month Photoshoot pictures for comparison sake. http://alexanderchristopher.blogspot.com/2007/09/first-official-photoshoot.html

12 Month Photoshoot...

It's getting late but I promise I'll work to get his 12-month Photoshoot pics up on the blog for all to see. And it's amazing that you can see how much he looks like a little boy and not a baby anymore.

Seven Month PhotoShoot...

Here are just a few pics from today ...
Here he is in the morning before school. He looks like he's about to take off any minute, but alas nothing yet!
Here's the famed glove shot...he's still able to sit in the glove, it actually fits him quite perfectly. This may be the first picture where I'm able to see a bit of Dan in Alexander.
Then we figured we'd let him try out the bat & ball. He looks like he means business here. Get back to work...

First Official Photoshoot...

Today we went for Alexander's first "official" photoshoot. We went to Kiddie Kandids and had our 6 Month photos taken. Alexander was VERY well behaved (especially for the minuet naps he took all weekend). He gave some great smiling faces and even let the photographer try to pose him in different poses - however he showed off his stubborn side by not keeping his hands or arms crossed when she tried to cross them.

I'm very happy for how the pictures turned out and can't wait for his next shoot! Probably for around the 9 Month timeframe (which will be around Christmas time)...

Here's a peak at his pictures. Please do not copy or print from these as it is illegal! I'm working on getting pictures out to people, so again, please do not copy & print these pictures.
