Tooth Fairy Duties...

This week turned out to be quite the busy week for the tooth fairy!

Alexander lost his first tooth Monday morning while brushing his teeth. Then he lost his 2nd tooth during lunch, the same day! He thinks he swallowed it while eating because he never found it.

So the Tooth Fairy paid a visit Monday night - bringing a note, some fairy dust and two crisp $2 bills. One for each tooth.

THEN...he lost his third tooth!

He was out playing on the playground and thinks he pushed it out with his tongue (it didn't have the other two teeth for support). This was on Tuesday but because we had no tooth, we couldn't tell.

Wednesday night, Alexander & I did a little tooth-counting exercise and confirmed he did in fact lose another tooth, for a total of 3.

The Tooth Fairy came again and left another crisp $2 bill.

I have a feeling now that they have started coming out, they might all just start falling out at once. I hope the Tooth Fairy is prepared and loaded up with fairy dust!

Official...

It's official...Alexander has hit another milestone, just a week & a half after his 6th birthday.

He lost his first tooth!

He has been teasing (or fibbing depending on how you look at it) that he lost his tooth for about a week now. However, you can tell he hasn't because he's not excited. This morning, he went in to brush his teeth using his timer. And I don't know if he was trying to beat the timer or brush hard to get the tooth out, but it worked! His tooth came out! Along with a lot of blood. Who knew losing a tooth caused that much blood. I think it was because of how it came out - the pressure of the tooth brush and the force of a 6 yr old.
We cleaned up the little tooth and he rinsed his mouth until the blood stopped - it wasn't that long, but did surprise me with the amount of blood. It was unexpected to say the least.

He was so excited to be able to go to school and finally put a mark on the tooth board, and also be the first one for April.

He has a 2nd wiggly tooth right next to the first one so I won't be surprised if that falls out fairly quickly as it no longer has support.

It exciting stuff and we're getting ready for the tooth fairy!
