Apple Picking...

Today, Alexander had his field trip with school to go apple picking. He talked about this all year about going on a school bus to get apples! Mommy chaperoned again this year and he had a blast with Sean & Sam Kelly!We picked apples, went for a hay-ride, had a snack, saw the farm animals & picked out our very own pumpkin!

Weekly Glance...

Weekly Glance (Monday, September 20th - Sunday, September 26th, 2010)

• Sleeping was on/off - some nights he spent the whole night in his room, other nights he would come in to cuddle with Mommy
  
• Seemed to be a rough week at school for all of the kids...sounds like a lot of kids had timeouts all week
• Tuesday was a really rough day with lots of timeouts
  
• BUT Alexander was the only kid in class NOT to get a timeout on Friday
• Had a few potty accidents - the ones at home were not good as he purposely took off jammies to pee on his floor rather than going downstairs
• Went to the playground & run errands with Mommy on Wednesday
• Helped Mommy make cupcakes Thursday night for school
• Friday night, he went to the playground with Daddy after school
• Bedtime this week was hot/cold - some nights he went down with minimal fighting & then other nights he would scream & cry
• Weekend was super busy
• Went to soccer on Saturday where he did really well at the drills but has to listen and not just run around once he does his part (he has a tendency to not look where he runs and plow over other kids)
• After soccer, went to Truck Day with his school/soccer friends
• Went to lunch with Mimi & Papi after soccer/truck day - Mommy went to visit Chris & baby Bennett at the hospital & Daddy had softball
• Sunday morning, went with Daddy on their weekend adventure of Dunkin Donuts & gazebo time
• Then Alexander went apple picking with Mimi & Auntie as we planned on having them babysit so Mommy could go to Chris' shower & Daddy might have had his softball day - they had fun apple picking & on the hayride
• Weekend wake-up: Saturday was Mommy's morning and although he came in at 4am, he slept til 7:40am! That's right - Mommy finally got a "late" morning. For Daddy's morning on Sunday, Alexander slept til 6am (in his room all night)
  

Weekend Activities...

We had quite the busy weekend full of activities!Saturday - we had soccer in the morning which Coach Chip informed me that Alexander is one funny kid. Mimi & Papi came to watch soccer too which surprised Alexander.Then afterwards, the soccer clan (the boys & Veronica) headed over to truck day at the Middle school where the kids could get on trucks, go on a few bouncy houses & run around. It was a lot hotter than we expected but the kids had fun.After soccer, Alexander went with out to lunch with Mimi & Papi so Mommy could go visit Chris, Chris & new baby Bennett in the hospital.

Sunday - Daddy & Alexander had their weekend morning together at Dunkin Donuts & the gazebo before coming home and playing outside.

Mimi & Auntie came over to babysit Alexander so Mommy could go to the baby shower for Chris & baby Bennett as he arrived early. The three of them went apple picking! They picked apples, went for a hay ride & picked out a "cute, little pumpkin"!Then it was a low-key afternoon at home....whew, what a busy weekend!

Birthday Coincidences...

I realized quite an interesting coincidence today which I thought was quite enjoyable.

My friend Chris & I are very similar: like scrapbooking/photography & generally being funky. We also got married to our husbands on the same day/same year, our wedding had the same color theme along with a few other small coincidences.

Then we realized that our husbands, Dan & Chris (we call him Boy Chris), share the 1/2 birthdays - March 27th & September 27th.

Chris who has been pregnant with her first child had baby Bennett Henry this past week...on Alexander's half birthday - March 22nd & September 22nd!
