Weekend Activities...

We had quite a busy weekend with all sorts of activities.

Saturday
Saturday morning started with stripping beds and getting all sheets washed before 6am. Then we had a quiet morning with breakfast & Wii before swim class. Mommy & Alexander headed off to swim class & Alexander really has done exceptionally well. I'm pretty sure that maybe by the end of the summer, we could have him swim without his swim vest and he'd do well. After class, we snuck over to the kiddie pool so Alexander could swim a bit (snuck because we're not members of the Y so technically we should do the lesson and then head home). He was doing a great job of swimming, putting his face in the water, and kicking. However he was using the slide and decided to jump off. Both the lifeguard & I told him he couldn't jump off like that and I told him if he did it again, we'd have to leave. Unfortunately, he did it again and then proceeded to have a temper tantrum as I made good on my promise and we left the pool.

We headed home for lunch and then after lunch, Daddy & Alexander went to Steve & Carolyn's house for Will's birthday party. Alexander was so excited to go over and play with the boys! He got to play with the boys, go swimming and have a great afternoon. He was so tired that he fell asleep during the ride home.

Sunday
Sunday was a rainy day! Alexander woke up around 6:40am and after some cuddle/playtime with Mommy, Daddy & Alexander headed downstairs around 7am. The boys had a quiet morning with breakfast & Wii as well.

Mommy & Alexander made plans to go to lunch with Mimi & Papi. So we headed to Patriot Place (at Gillette Stadium) for lunch. Alexander was very excited to be so close to Gillette ("Where, you know, Tom Brady plays"). We had lunch, went over to Bass Pro Shops to see the turtles & fish. Then we walked around, in the rain, before we decided to get some ice cream. in the ice cream store, Alexander & Papi had a good game of make-shift air hockey.

Then we headed home as the sun decided to poke out and had dinner, tubby & a quiet & relaxing night.
