Weekend Activities...

For a weekend that started out to be low-key, it turned out to be quite busy.

Saturday
Saturday morning was soccer followed by Sam's 5th birthday party and that was the extent of weekend plans.  It took Alexander 40 minutes to get ready for soccer as he fought us on brushing his teeth and getting dressed.  He almost stayed home for the entire weekend, but he eventually rebounded.  It wasn't a fun morning, that's for sure.

Mommy & Alexander headed to soccer and Daddy was going to meet us there.  He did well at soccer.  He listened to his coach and did okay with some of his drills (there were times he just ran/slid rather than dribbling).  After soccer, Mommy & Alexander headed to Sam's birthday party.  This was a great opportunity for him to run around with his friends and burn off some of that extra fussy energy.  He had fun at the party (they played on an indoor bounce house and played games) and after some cake & ice cream headed back in to run around some more.

After the party, Daddy came to pick him up and the boys headed to uncle Matt's to hang out for a bit.  The plan was to head home for dinner/bed but once home and once the power went out, the boys went to Steve & Carolyn's for a sleep over (with power).

Sunday
Had breakfast at Steve & Carolyn's and got to play with the boys.  They headed back home around lunch and went immediately outside to play in the snow.  The shoveled neighbor Jon's driveway, had a snowball fight, and then built the giant snowman as it was perfect snow for a snowman.  We still did not have cable/internet/phone that afternoon, so Mommy & Alexander cuddled on the couch and watched the Charlie Brown shows.  For the record - Snoopy & Linus crack him up!
