Weekend Activities...
We had yet another busy weekend!
Saturday
This was our first Saturday where we didn't have to get up & get ready for gymnastics but we still had things to do! Alexander was invited to Maureen's party which was in the afternoon. Since Mommy had a family non-kid wedding, Alexander stayed home and went to the party with Daddy.
Before the party, Alexander & Daddy mowed the lawn and went to the dump. The boys then had some lunch and got ready for the party. Daddy said Alexander had a blast at the party. It was at the same gym place where Veronica had hers - the kids got to run around & then do fun activities before singing Happy Birthday to Maureen.
After the party, Daddy & Alexander went to hang out with cousin Michael for the afternoon at uncle Matt's. The boys got to play, hang out & have dinner before the boys headed home for bed. Before they left, they noticed there were ticks on the boys....looks like it's going to be one of those summers.
Sunday
Sunday morning was an early one because Alexander woke up last night around 11:40p and was up til almost 12:45am due to coughing and then he said his tummy hurt because he was hungry. And at one point he mentioned his ear hurt. After some cuddling, back & forth between rooms, and some medicine, he finally fell back to sleep but did wake up earlier than anticipated.
Mommy & Alexander had some breakfast, played a few games and then got ready to head to the movies for his first trip to the movie theatre. He did a great job at the movies and had a lot of fun with his friends.
After the movies, we headed to the toy store as he had a gift card from his birthday. He picked out a ball and a hot wheels track thing. I thought for sure he would want something 'Cars' related since we just came from the movie but he picked something else. After the store, we went out to have a late lunch/early dinner and he did a great job. He ordered pasta & carrots rather than cheeseburger & french fries. He even tried some of my soup. So proud!
After lunch, we came back and played outside with his new ball where he was showing me his fantastic kicking skills. Then Daddy came home from fishing/errands, and Alexander played a bit with Daddy before the boys decided to go fishing for a bit.
Came home - had a pbj sandwich, took a shower, had a few almost meltdowns due to how tired he was and then upstairs for bed. Overall a very busy yet fun weekend!
Lights, Camera, Action...
On top of the very busy week, Alexander ended it with a very busy weekend. And to add to the craziness of it all, Alexander went to see a movie in the movie theatre for the first time!
Alexander went to see Cars 2 with some friends from school! Aidan's parents organized a little group of us to head to the movies. For Alexander, Aidan & Kiera this was their first time in a movie theatre! Alexander was so excited to go to the movies with Aidan, Grace, Christina and Christina's sister Erika.
The kids all did a great job and managed to stay focused through the entire movie (Kiera got antsy but she's also not yet 3). Alexander was pretty excited to watch the movie and I'm quite proud at how well he did with not talking during the movie and staying in his seat!

Big Top...
Alexander went to the circus for the first time with Mimi, Papi, Chris & Claire! He got to have a pony ride and then see what a circus is all about!
There were tigers, elephants & tightrope walkers! Alexander said his favorite part was the animals and he did not like the cannon. A man was shot out of a cannon and the noise from that was too loud as was some police car act where there was a loud noise and then the car broke in half. He had a blast being there with Chris & Claire. Then after the circus, he went back to Mimi & Papi's for dinner and then a special late night movie with Papi.

- Alexander had a mixed week at school - few days were good, others not so much

Day with Daddy...
For Father's Day, Alexander & Daddy had a good, bonding day together!
In the morning & since it was finally nice out, the boys did their typical summer morning routine of walking to Dunkin Donuts and then going to the gazebo to play a bit. After they got home, they got ready to head to the PawSox game with uncle Matt & cousin Michael. They will also meet up with Papi at the stadium for a boys day!The boys had a great day eating hot dogs, peanuts, and french fries! They loved the game however they were getting restless by the 7th inning...so they started to head out but were able to see both Paws & Sox before they left the stadium.Once they got back home, the boys played their own game of baseball in the back yard before it was time for Michael & uncle Matt to head home. Overall, a great day for the boys!Later on, Alexander gave Daddy his presents which consisted of a new fishing pole (apparently Daddy broke his in a tree?) and fishing accessories that Alexander picked out all of it by himself!
