Weekend Activities...
Weekend Activities...we had yet another busy weekend in June!
Saturday
We started the morning with a very early wake-up call from the little guy. He wanted to watch tv but I explained we were not turning on the tv that early and if he didn't want to lay there quietly he could go back into his room to read books or play. He laid there for a bit and then all of a sudden said "Mommy, I had an accident". YUP! We had to strip the bed - everything somehow got wet. Not a good way to start the day by having to strip your own bed before 5:40am. Alexander continued the morning by being very whiny for no reason well except that he was probably tired.
Then it was time for gymnastics! This week Daddy was bringing Alexander to gymnastics as Mommy had her show at Fenway Park. And for an extra treat, Mimi wanted to come to gymnastics as well but didn't know it was just Daddy so Daddy got some company. Mimi hung out for a bit and then three of them went out to lunch and played for a bit. In the afternoon, Daddy & Alexander killed some time by going to some stores as the weather was pretty crappy. Then they went to the bookstore where Alexander got some new books. The boys went out to dinner and then home for a easy-going bedtime.
Sunday
Daddy & Alexander had their morning which seemed to have less whining. Then after playing with some trains, goofing around with Mommy - we had some lunch so we could get ready to go to Connor's birthday party.
After lunch, we headed over to Connor's for his birthday party. Thankfully the weather held out and no rain so the kids could play outside on the swingset and the jumpy house. The boys all seemed to be pretty sensitive and overtired today because they all would cry and break down if someone looked at them wrong. Even Alexander who isn't a big cryer would cry over little things today. After cake and some more playing, we headed out which only created more tears because he didn't want to leave.
He took a mini nap in the car which seemed to help a bit...but then it was time for dinner which seem to cause yet another meltdown as he didn't want what Mommy made. Thankfully he seemed to be much better after tubby because bedtime was much easier than expected and he was asleep pretty quickly.
