Weekly Glance...

Weekly Glance (Monday, January 5th - Sunday, January 11th, 2009)

• Started in Toddler Room this week
• VERY lowkey week due to Alexander being sick in the beginning
• Alexander got sick with a high fever Monday morning and was sent home from school
• Home Monday & Tuesday (due to the 24-hour-fever-free rule) with Mommy, no fever on Tuesday but still not 100% until Tuesday evening
• Back to his old self of waking up at 5:30am EVERY day but did nap very well this week (at home and at school)
• Did well in Mrs. Debbie's room despite being home Monday & Tuesday - ate well, napped well, really enjoyed project time & circle time where he got very excited
• New words this week: Noodle, Minnie, Poof, Milk, Ernie, Bert, Bed, Giraffe, Burp
• Loves to help make the PB&J sandwiches, gets upset if he can't help
• Did the Hokey Pokey with both Mommy & Daddy (different times) along with his Elmo DVD
• Starting to figure out how to stop, open/close, change DVDs, and press play on the DVD - pretty soon, we're going to walk into a room to find that he's changed the DVDs on his own
• Hung out with Daddy on Saturday & Mommy on Sunday, napped great both days but were lowkey
• Helped Daddy vacuum Saturday morning and didn't want to stop
• Loves to play in his Thomas tent and push it over and fall over inside and have it fall on its side
• Saturday afternoon, Daddy & Alexander went over Uncle Matt's house and played with cousin Michael for a bit
• Woke up at 2:30am on Sunday and wouldn't go back to bed...Daddy tried to cuddle, Mommy tried and then we tried our bed yet he still wouldn't go to sleep...finally, after more cuddling, I just put him in his crib and he cried it out a bit but did fall back to sleep - faster than I expected.
• Sunday we played flashcards, and listened to Elmo on Mommy's ipod (again, he's going to have this figured out on his own too)
