Week Twenty Seven: At A Glance

Week Twenty Seven: At A Glance (Monday, September 24th - Sunday, September 30th, 2007)

  • It was a fairly lowkey week...
  • Alexander drank out of a sippie cup for the first time!
  • He is getting much better at sitting up by himself and for a decent amount of time
  • Small cough has returned along with the wheezing (we'll check in with Dr. M on our next visit)
  • We got his Halloween costume - here's a hint: He's going to be two different variations of James Earl Jones
  • Had a good week at school - for the most part spent a great deal of time laughing, took decent naps & went outside almost every day at school to enjoy the last bit of summertime weather
  • Mommy & Daddy dropped him off and picked up him together Tuesday - Thursday
  • Still did not duplicate an outfit to school
  • Ate & loved carrots this week at school
  • Diaper rash is all but gone and his eczema is clearing up nicely
  • I'm not sure if he's cutting a tooth yet because he has always nawed on different things but this weekend he seems to be biting down a bit harder. Plus, I wonder if the lack of napping is also because of that.
  • Continues to love baths, plays with the bag rather than the toys that were in the bag during bathtime
  • Usually wake up time this week was around 5-5:15am. A couple mornings, we were able to get another 30 minutes of sleep out of him by bringing him into bed with us as Daddy gets ready for work
  • Played with his new toys as well as his animal train from Grandma
  • His laughing is so contagious and quite loud when you really get him going
  • Went to our first "Official" Photoshoot (Pictures in separate post)
  • On Saturday, Mommy, Daddy & Alexander went for a drive. We were planning on going to the zoo since it was nice out but Alexander fell asleep and he was in desperate need of a nap so we decided to drive around instead. We ended up visiting Auntie Alyson at work, who was VERY excited for the surprise visit. Then we went to Grammie & Grampie's for a few hours, who also were very happy for the surprise visit.
  • On Sunday, Alyson & Grammie came over to visit but more importantly to go to his first official photoshoot. At first, Alexander didn't want to nap so I was worried that he wouldn't be in a good mood in the afternoon for his pictures, but he proved me wrong. He took 2 small (very small) naps and ended up doing very well at the photoshoot.
