Week Recap...

Week Recap... (Monday, March 31st - Sunday, April 6th)

• Alexander took his first steps by himself on Friday!
• We practiced standing on his own
• Had a great week at school and napped very well every day (but one)
• Saying gaga alot and even saying 'ga' for cat and 'do' for dog
• Loves his cookie monster & Grover books - we read them every day
• Sleeping this week was great - bedtime around 7:30am and would wake up around 6am. Most mornings I would have to go get him. If he did wake up earlier, he would sit/lie in his crib and play.
• Had his first official temper tantrum after school in front of both Mommy & Daddy. He was told to stay away from the front door and the door mat, yet he kept going over there. So we both told him no, and he started to pout. Then we tried to get him to move and he began crying and flailing. When I tried to pick him up, he deliberately turned away and pouted. Then he flung himself backwards and hit his head on the floor. Thankfully he didn't hit it too hard. Dan & I were both surprised that he had that strong of a reaction to a door mat.
• Daddy had bedtime duty on Thursday as Mommy went out with Auntie Alyson (no dw)
• Put all his books on his new bookshelf
• Both weekend mornings, he woke up @ 6a but stayed, playing, in his crib til 7a. (Glorious!)
• Different types of food he ate this week (obviously did not have each thing at each meal): waffles/pancakes for breakfast, hot dog, turkey, ham steak, cheese for lunch.
• Tried, for the first time: scrambled eggs Peanut Butter sandwich (LOVED the Peanut butter - even sucked on it from the small container), Tuna (liked the tuna better from a fork rather than in the sandwich), & grilled quesadilla (actually ate this one by himself)
• Had a very needed relaxing weekend at home - nice & lowkey - just the three of us!
• Took his first bubble bath on Sunday
