Weekly Glance...

Weekly Glance (Monday, April 13th - Sunday, April 19th, 2009)

  • Had a good week at school - played outside
  • Seemed to be prone to minor boo-boos (little scrapes on his hands) but loved pointing them out all week
  • Beginning of the week, had red eyes that could have turned into conjunctivitis (as there was a few cases at school we didn't know about) but thankfully was just minorly red and didn't turn into anything
  • Opened his Easter Basket Tuesday night from the "Easter Bunny" - LOVES his train whistle and the fact he can do it himself
  • Played outside with Mommy after school on Wednesday and loved running around, picking up rocks
  • Loves broccoli and will now ask for it for dinner
  • Thursday night, Mommy & Alexander went to Target for our weekly hot dog stop.
  • After Target, we went to Payless to get Alexander a new pair of sneakers where he decided he wanted to run around the store because he thought it was fun. Unfortunately, Mommy also lost her wallet at some point in the evening. We searched in both Target & Payless for an hour and nothing...needless to say, Alexander did not get his sneakers.
  • Played outside with Daddy after school on Friday - he LOVES being outside and now driving toys/cars/trucks around the driveway
  • On Saturday, Daddy & Alexander went over Uncle Matt & Laura's house to play with Michael so Mommy could clean the house - they ended up staying all day because Alexander took a 2 1/2 hour nap
  • Played well with Michael
  • Played his drums for the first time
  • Wanted to vacuum a lot this weekend
  • Played with Daddy outside on Sunday, helped rake & blow leaves. He even got to use his own lawn tools that make noises just like Daddy's
  • Alexander & Daddy walked over to the playground after nap/lunch
  • The phase this week was to sit in his chair on his own, reading books before bed
  • His bedtime routine is making changes because now he says "night night Mommy" a few times and he's starting to blow kisses and then say "ave uu" which is his version of 'I love you' - it's quite cute
  • New words: Tractor, Dumper, Dennis, drum, 'ave uu' (love you)
  • We've been practicing counting & our alphabet all week. Favorite letter is "O" still
  • Getting much better at eating meals at the kitchen table rather than in front of the tv
