Week Thirty Seven at a Glance...

Week Thirty Seven Glance: Monday, December 3rd - Sunday, December 9th

  • Overall, Alexander had a very good week
  • We also had some Christmas firsts: We took our Christmas card picture Monday night with full cooperation from all parties; We got our Christmas tree on Saturday & Alexander had his first visit with Santa Claus (see separate post)
  • Spent a lot of time in the older infant room at school playing... Mommy's not ready for that transition, neither is Miss Linda
  • Not crawling yet but is pushing himself backwards and a couple times this week pushed himself under his crib at school where they said he just laughed
  • Slept in his crib all week. Bedtime was around 7:30pm with a wake-up time of 5-5:30am and additional cuddling time with Mommy
  • He grunts & makes noises to show when he is upset or annoyed...it makes the girls at school laugh
  • Had his usual food this week: applesauce, carrots, squash, pears, peaches, & oatmeal. We even tried mixed vegtables and he liked those
  • Loves baths & jumping in his jumperoo/exersaucer... he also loves his little piano at school, so we got him one for home and he gets the biggest grin when he hears it
  • Left school a little early on Friday and went shopping & ran some errands with Mommy & Alyson
  • Took good naps all week, including at home
  • Saturday he ate gerber puffs without gagging and then he actually picked one off his tray, put it in his mouth & ate it by himself
  • Starting to wave, mainly to himself but it's cute nonetheless
  • Does a great job nodding yes when you ask him questions that we need an answer to... Example: Do you want to eat apples? He nods. Do you want to go upstairs? He nods. Is that Grover? He nods. It's one of my favorite things he does
  • Sunday, we went to the Mall with Grammie & Alyson. We went to see Santa, did some shopping & went out to lunch. And the whole time he was such a great boy and was in such a great mood.
  • At lunch, I let him taste my soup & appetizer off my finger and he seemed to enjoy them. He kept looking for more so I took that as a good sign
  • He doesn't seem to be phased by the Christmas decorations/tree around the house but does like the Santa & Rudolph that sing songs
