The Big Apple...
We're back from our trip! SO GOOD!
We got down there Thursday afternoon in time to check in and then grab some dinner. We were making good time until we hit traffic in the Bronx. If it weren't for the traffic, we would have made record time, even with our bathroom stops.
We checked into our hotel (which was fantastic). The entire staff was amazing and really went above & beyond to make sure we felt welcomed. Then we got to our room - it was HUGE! The living room is bigger than our living room/dining room and then there was a bedroom with 2 double beds, a full bath & a kitchen complete with a stove & dishwasher. The stove came in handy!
Once we got settled, we all needed something to eat and decided to go walk around NYC. We grabbed some pizza in NYC, afterall you have to have pizza in New York. Alexander did amazing with the pizza and was drinking from a straw. He ate almost the whole slice by himself. After dinner, we walked over to Rockefeller Center to see how big the line was for the Today Show. (It was what I expected...large) While at Rockefeller Center, we took some pictures.

After we walked around a bit more, we headed back to the hotel to get Alexander ready for bed. He didn't take a 2nd nap so we figured he'd be exhausted. Well he proved us wrong. He just wanted to walk around the hotel room. He did such a good job walking on his own on Thursday. he would walk by himself and then go get his stroller and push it around the room. (Here's a picture of one side of the living room - there's a 2nd half with 2 tables)Here's a shot of Alexander walking away from his stroller over to the chair where Grammie was sitting.
We must have started to wear him out because he felt the need to lie on the ground and rest with his blankie.
As this is a blog for Alexander, I'll refrain from posting my NKOTB story here. Check at Mel's shortly. But I will say absolutely, fan-freakin-tastic! I loved every second and would do it again in a heartbeat!
Grammie, Alyson & Moira left with Alexander on Friday (it took them 6 1/2 hours to get home due to rain & traffic when it should have taken 4 hrs) while Mommy & Daddy had a date night (we went to see Stomp). Mommy had a really hard time leaving him and did end up crying on the sidewalk of NYC while I waited for a cab, but he did amazing and I knew I had nothing to worry about - I was just going to miss my guy. Overall, despite the traffic problems, lack of sleep, and missing my little one, it was a wonderful weekend.
