Week Recap...

Week Recap (Monday, May 12th - Sunday, May 17th, 2008)
Another exciting week...

  • Alexander began walking on his own!
  • Alexander took his first trip to the Big Apple: had some NYC pizza, walked around, saw Rockefeller Center & St. Patrick's Cathedral, went out to breakfast with Grammie, dealt with obscene amount of traffic
  • He drinks very well out of a straw
  • Mommy & Daddy had their first night away while Grammie & Alyson babysat
  • Alexander was extremely well behaved while Mommy & Daddy were away (even in the 6 1/2 hour car ride)
  • Alexander said his own name a few times on Friday
  • Alexander had chicken nuggets for the first time (obviously Mommy wasn't present for this)
  • Alexander was a walking maniac all over the hotel room in NYC
  • Slept (naps/nighttime) very well for Grammie
  • We got info from school about his move to the transition room (this will be an adjustment for both Alexander & Mommy)
  • Overall, he had normal sleeping patterns this week except for one large nap on Monday and then not napping during the car rides.
  • One small breakout of hives and then they pretty much went away; even the eczema is going away on his arms
  • Went to the playground a few times with Daddy - loves the slide
  • Getting really good with using the fork/spoon on his own
  • On Saturday afternoon, Daddy took Alexander over to Avery's house for a playdate so Mommy could unpack & clean up.
  • Had ravioli's for lunch on Sunday - he wouldn't eat them at first but finally he would actually swallow a piece and then ate some more. He ate it but wasn't that excited about it because he would take it out of his mouth
  • Got his first official haircut (which he hated)
  • Ran errands, went for a walk, and shared a drink & cookie with Mommy to celebrate the haircut
  • Loves walking/falling down and then laughing as if it's a game
  • Got a new stuffed animal (Cookie monster) while at Barnes & Noble after his haircut as a special treat and he loves to give Cookie hugs and kisses
