Week Glance...

Week Glance (Monday, April 28th - Sunday, May 4th)

Big Week:

• Alexander got his first tooth
• Alexander gives "mama kisses". I ask him for kisses and he would normally put his face to my chest or face (like a cuddle), but now he will make a gesture like a kiss. Saturday night, right before bed I asked for a "mama kiss" and he took out his pacifer, looked right at me and came at me with wide-open mouth for a kiss. Guess we have to get use to the wet kisses, but it was the best feeling!
• School stuff: We got a progress report, a school project, his school pictures, and word that he's moving up to the next room
• Good week at school - napped well & ate the majority of his food and sometimes wanted more
• Does well walking with only holding on to one hand (we're practicing balance)
• We started a Growth Chart at home where he mark his height. We made sure to do it on a 2x4 so we can take it with us when we finally move. I told Dan that we probably want to use something not nailed down because he doesn't want to deal with me when I'm crying over a door jam because I can't take it with us and we'll loose those memories.
• Didn't want to eat his hotdogs for lunch but woofed them down during dinner
• Did an excellent job feeding himself using a fork
• Tried to do a photoshoot and he wanted NO part of it but then cooperated the following day
• Woke up at 4:30am on Saturday and didn't want to go back to sleep (eeek that's a long morning)
• Does excellent going up the stairs and even knows how to go down the stairs
• He likes to brush his own hair (as you'll see in some pictures)
• Diaper rash & eczema this week - the diaper rash was pretty painful but thankfully it wasn't widely spread nor did it last long
• Started to stand up on his legs, almost in a downward dog yoga pose. Actually was able to get to a standing position this way but didn't stand on his own, held onto a shelf
• Had a lowkey weekend at home, playing and hanging out. He did skip his 2nd nap on Sunday - I hope the trend isn't starting all ready
• Does this new thing where he'll lie down wherever he is and we call it "resting", he did it a lot and then gives you a kiss after
